How Does Mesotherapy Work?
Mesotherapy is a medical procedure in which very small amounts of medications, FDA approved for other uses, are injected into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin) using micro gauge needles. The procedure includes multiple injections into localized areas to achieve maximum results with no down time. The procedure takes 20-30 minutes with minimal discomfort. The injections are done with a computer controlled meso injection system that ensures a more consistent application for maximum efficiency and makes the injections virtually painless. In Mesotherapy the FDA approved medications are used “off line” similar to Botox® when it was initially injected for cosmetic uses.
Mesotherapy is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction for the treatment of cellulite, weight loss and body sculpting. The procedure has also proven effective for facial and neck rejuvenation, and as a treatment for certain types of hair loss. By injecting the correct medication into a localized area a small amount of medication is needed. Fat is lost through the process of lipolysis and normal elimination occurs.
